Summer season comes with high temperatures that can cause discomfort and your feet can suffer a lot. Thanks God natural remedies had been invented because the following tips can get you rid of that unpleasant smell of your feet during summer and not only.
Take care of areas where bacteria may appear
Most bacteria that cause unpleasant feet odor are reproduced under nails and in the areas with hardened skin. Don’t forget to clean your feet with a pumice stone, every time you wash them. Take care of your nails by cutting them all the time.
Wipe between your toes after washing your feet
This tip is preventing bacteria appearance and infections because humidity is the perfect environment for bacteria development.
Tea and apple cider vinegar for smelly feet
Chamomile tea can destroy bacteria and reduce excessive sweating if you keep your feet for 15-20 minutes dipped in this infusion.
Apple cider vinegar has the same effect. You need to mix 2 mugs of apple cider vinegar with 1 mug of warm water and dip your feet in this solution for 20 minutes. Or, you can soak a few pieces of gauze and apply them on your feet and let them act for 20 minutes. Then let the feet dry naturally.
Use essential oils
Lavender oil is the perfect remedy for smelly feet, and to get rid of bacteria. Massage your feet before going to sleep with 4 drops of lavender essential oil.
Turn your socks inside-out
Turn your socks inside out every time you wash them, because they will be washed better and dead cells accumulated will disappear.
Use the underarm deodorant for your feet too
Antiperspirants contain chemicals that reduce sweating. You can apply them on your feet in the evening, after showering, on dry skin.
Keep your footwear dry
It’s advisable to have two pairs of shoes for each season, in order to wear them one at a time. If you don’t have a second pair of shoes, put crumpled newspapers inside, overnight, to absorb moisture.
